Been busy packing and moving all my crap!
During the chaos I took some time yesterday to program a Lua/Corona study:

BreakOut

I tried to hit the major Corona APIs and types to make something functional:
graphics.*
display.*
physics.*
audio.*
The API is good and simple.
The documentation is to the point and has good examples.

Not a complete game.
Could use some polish and other stuff.
But!
It's playable and was a good time to code.

Took about 4 hours.
Would be faster if I did it again.

You can download the game and files from here:

Download Project

Download APK - for Android phones

I have some other studies planned.
Will code and post them later.

Yo!
I've been busy!

I'm currently learning Lua for a new job.
We'll be using it with Corona.
So right now I am:
Reading the Lua documentation.
Reading the Corona documentation
Googleing stuff.
Making code studies.

Lua has some really interesting features that make it cool for programming games.
Tables are cool.
You add stuff to em and it's all good.

On the other hand:
Some of the syntax is a bit weird.
And the overall design is very different for me, being a C, C++, C# programmer.
But!
It's good times!

I'll upload some code samples soon.
For now, if you have an Android phone, you can download the best game ever:

Yo!

I'm PixelPiledriver, thanks for checking out my programming blog.
Use the tabs above to look at different stuff I have worked on.
This place is still a WIP so come back soon for more content.

Thanks!
